Meet Our Specialist - Jill

My name is Jill Alati, I have my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and am a Parkinson’s Disease Specialist, and Co-Founder of Mobility Specialists. I have spent the past 12 years focusing on my passion, of helping guide People with Parkinson’s Disease through their diagnosis, from early onset/newly diagnosed, through clients with a 30 year history of the disease. Getting diagnosed and living with a lifelong condition can be physically and emotionally daunting; however I am here to discuss the in’s and out’s of how to take control and keep yourself in the drivers seat of your health and wellbeing.

We at Mobility Specialists have found there to be a significant lack of multifactorial support for people with Parkinson disease and their care partners in our local community. Therefore, our goal is to empower people with tools to improve their physical and mental health through exercise, education, and peer support. We understand that every person with Parkinson’s disease does not follow the same linear path, and that each individual requires a combination of high intensity strengthening, coordination, speed, and cognition training. We look beyond the label of Parkinson’s Disease and push our clients to their highest potential.

Parkinson’s Disease continues to hold many unknowns including causes, symptoms, and progression. With these associated unknowns, you can still strive to take hold of the situation and diminish the effects it could have on your every day life. Through this blog I will discuss tips and tricks for leading a healthy and active lifestyle to help improve both motor, and non motor PD symptoms to help PACIFY Parkinson’s Disease!
